Cardio supports overall student stamina. Cardio, short for cardiovascular training, is a type of exercise that increases your heart rate and breathing, and uses the large muscles in your body.
We focus on changing the way flexibility is promoted, by emphasizing technique, alignment, strength and progressions. Flexibility when done correctly promotes body confidence, the ability to move better, and helps keep the body pain free. See our Body Flexibility page for more info.
Strength training (also known as resistance training) is a type of exercise that causes your muscles to contract against an outside resistance. The outside resistance can be from your body weight, medicine balls, resistance bands or kettlebells.
A multi-faceted concept that includes a person's physical, mental, emotional and social well-being, and how it affects their ability to live a fulfilling life.
